Y O U A R E U N S T O P P A B L E
My name is Naomi Peters, and I craft handmade goods from my home in Leslieville, Toronto.
I grew up on a farm outside of a small village of 800 on Prince Edward Island. Being from a rural home forced me to build a strong imagination - and, in turn, helped my creativity flourish. My mother was always creating things, and she had my brother and I busy with rug hooking, crochet, and knitting.
Moving away to the metropolis of Toronto, I was swept up in the new, fast-paced lifestyle that goes along with it. In recent years, with little downtime, I felt a calling to return to a slow burn. This started with macrame, and swiftly shifted to crochet after experimenting with a gift for a friend's little one. You could say I was "hooked" from that very moment.
Crochet is an extension of myself - and while it had been years, picking it back up was like riding a bike. I can sit and crochet for hours. The rhythm of it is a helpful form of meditation for my soul.
Creating this children's line has been a wonderful challenge, starting from the very fibres I work with. All of them are natural, with no synthetic filler. This renders the final products very effective in the cold, and allows them to breathe and wick moisture across a variety of conditions. For your little ones, this means that each new adventure is a cozy, comfortable one. :)
